Providing Universal Context

The Role of a FAIR Data Registry for Enterprise Product Intelligence.

On 8 October 2026, at the Fall 2026 Allotrope Connect Workshop, Heiner Oberkampf, CEO and Co-Founder of Accurids, presented Providing Universal Context: The Role of a FAIR Data Registry for Enterprise Product Intelligence.
‍

The same batch, sample, or method carries a different local ID in every system it passes through. The presentation describes how to create one persistent identity for that object, and to make the context usable everywhere:
‍

  • Allotrope already describes what a result is, and a persistent identity links that result to the exact batch, material, method, and sample it came from.
  • A FAIR Data Registry registers, matches, resolves, and governs that identity. Each system keeps its own data.
  • A lab result stays connected to the sample, the batch, the method, and the medicinal product.
  • The same context is opened to people, applications, and AI agents, through a governed connection, so an agent can follow a record to the object it refers to.
  • Use cases with global pharma companies are already running this in production.
    ‍

That identity is what he calls universal context: available at every touchpoint, from the lab to the registered product.

From Fragmented Data to a Unified Backbone. In Months, Not Years.
